Twitter posts from 31-year-old GP Adrian Harrop have reemerged after he was suspended from his job for a month.
Yesterday he admitted at a tribunal to using his Twitter to pursue a group of social media rivals opposed to his views.
The GP last year tweeted that JK Rowling "isn't safe to be around children" due to her views on gender.
He later deleted the comments, admitting to being "insensitive".
Harrop compared JK Rowling to Jimmy Saville in tweets dating from May last year, saying "Jimmy Savile was the UK's most popular children's entertainer at the height of his career and one of the most famous men in the country."
"Working with how you're framing JKR, I suppose you'd have gladly given him unsupervised contact with your kids - or have I misunderstood you?"
The Liverpool-based GP's registration was suspended after being found responsible for a number of tweets that were deemed "offensive" and "inappropriate".
The 31-year-old dubbed one person a "venomous transphobic bigot" whose aim was to "demonise trans people and exclude them from public life".
The tribunal accepted Harrop had been joking but still found the comment inappropriate for a GP to post in a public forum.
Dr Harrop said in a statement after the hearing, “I am not transgender myself but I am a fervent supporter of transgender rights.”
The tribunal found that Dr Harrop’s misconduct had impaired his fitness to practice.
The 31-year-old has therefore had his registration suspended for a month.
